A Rush of Blood

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

A rush of blood paints my face red.

Bow your head in silence.

So many things you shouldn't have said.

--so many things you didn't think through.

A rush of blood paints my face blue.

Bow your head in silence.

So many things you want to change.

--so many things that they don't know.

A rush of blood paints my face green.

Bow your head in silence.

So many things you didn't need.

--so many things you can't return.

A rush of blood paints my face white.

Bow your head in silence.

So many people that you could have saved.

--so many things you have lost.

The colors fade to black and you are lost in pity.

A rush of blood paints my face--

Lift up your head.

--so many regrets will have you smothered;

It's how you use the colors to paint new pictures that keeps us going.

Incredible. The content as well as the simplicity of these verses are refreshing. I think every single human who reads this can relate to it, and is this not a wonderful thing. Loooved it.
