The Pub

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

We met in the pub one night - our eyes crashing

Mine dark horny brown yours light romantic blue

Your tongue made itself at home in my mouth

At first I thought you were just passing through

But then I noticed something else came about

Wet promises on glossy lips pursued

Something way past being lonely

Something way past being lusty or lewd

Something in me had lost all account

Something in you lit up the moon

My breath could not catch up to your mouth

I know I love you came out to soon

I think our love had tried to be fleeting

But sometimes love will not be denied

Now in you a baby’s heart is beating

Now in me a man must arise
