Festivities of death and wine

Imposture of sunshine

lets go the curtain revealing an exhibition.

A dance honouring times of apparitions,

with festivities of death and wine...

The living and dead,

with the colourful suite,

valsing away in lead

together prepare their bed.

Yellow and red,

with many shades colouring intoxication,

mark with others a dance of creation

of skeletons in thread...

After spinning away

in trial of horizontal sways,

as movement vertical stays,

finally step down and bow they may...

As finally they lay

mostly in suits of brown,

to black turns their gown...

And their heavens to grey...

And all that remains

is a whispering song,

eerie and long,

as life is  drained once again...

I like the metaphor "skeletons in thread." That could be a poem all in itself.
