I follow the rules

I jump through the hoops

I smile so politely

While my hands rummage the floor

For the bits of love that fall from your table.

I need to be fed

I want to feast upon you

I want to you to fill my inside

Until I can bear no more and scream

To the point I burst.

How long will you drop these mere morsels?

How long before I rebel and tear you apart?

How long before I devour you whole

And you melt in my mouth

while leaving me with sticky fingers?

I am hungry for you

Starving for you

I must have you

Before I die.

Your style is unmistakable, reading this without looking at the author I knew immediately it was you. I love that you have stuck to traditional poetry- Those poems which help molded us throughout the centuries of time. I love the original way...

Your style is unmistakable, reading this without looking at the author I knew immediately it was you. I love that you have stuck to traditional poetry- Those poems which help molded us throughout the centuries of time. I love the original way you have threaded your unique wording into this style. Your words are always so visual that I see it playing out in front of my eyes. In this work although it's a metaphor I actually see you on the floor begging for his love crumbs. I can feel your starvation and desolation here. I picture you in a dress with a matching hair ribbon and your eyes turning up at him swollen and lost as to say please, don't treat me like this and your fingers picking up the dropped crumbs. It captures what poets are ultimetly looking for, the translation of a feeling into a living picture. Great job as always.

Yes. We've all eaten at that table. Thank you for painting it so vividly.

Wait patiently no more, go ahead and tie him up and beat him I say! Good delivery of passion, held back, subdued and waiting for a release.
