Fall is falling

Autumn touches the ground

Winter is calling

Fall is falling… down

.

I feel the chill

The warmth of life

It is leaving

And I shan’t be around

.

The fields are grazing

The children playing

Sun twirling new friends

As I am winding down

.

No time for regret

Time is better spent

Grazing among friends

Until my shadow ends

.

It is everything

What we are

And become

And leave behind

.

It is the use of time

The building of heart

The building of mind

Friends and family time

.

Oh what a ride

Turquoise oceans

With red rip tides

The distance found

.

Life’s beginning

Richness growing

Gateways suspending

Then lying down

Mortality is best contemplated when leaves are turning. The use of seasons as metaphor for life is eloquently expressed here. Well done.

Consider it yours to do with whatever you wish Wicked, Any poem of my that can make another human happier or better is open to the world. The idea of fame and fortune for me now has been replaced with awe an inspiration of the human kind. Give of yourself and happiness becomes a virtue.

It is I who needs to thank you. This will now be sacred to me.
