Miracles of Man and Moon

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

The miracle of man in God we trust or not are inconsequential

Opening the shades of my lids and the vinyl front room window

I see the moon and stars just before the burning sun’s arrival

Above in majestic flight her majesty the moon and her amazing survival

The miracle of man and the miracle of life we now know we owe her

For taking the abusive blunt of the blow of an indianite passing stranger

So we’ve launched ourselves into that darkness to gather her shedding light

Particles of dust on a flight of orbit through the freezing void less night

Bringing back pieces of the woman in the moon landing near tranquil seas

To her heart and to her light we make a flight of what can only be

The miracle of man with a mind to bring her back to the heart of her destiny

“The Moon” the quiet pieces of Earth’s last shedding tears

.                       .

(Haiku 17 syllables)

.                       .

Moonshine gleaming

Earth shedding tears

Light hugs our night

Have you read -Red Tent-? It connected me personally with the moon... it pulls... I feel it. Beautiful poem did I say that?
