Advice from Karen

“Not good enough” she said.

“You’ll always have to deal with that”

And as I look at her

Confused offended and on the verge of tears…

“Feeling like that” she says…

“FEELING, that you aren’t good enough”

And this large woman with coke bottle glasses,

Who can see my fears so clearly,

Who can read the same “2nd Best” sign,

That I see on my forehead, every day I look in the mirror,

She tells me…

“You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone,

Never make excuses for your life!

If you strive for excellence, and are surrounded by mediocrity, you will never be happy.”

And she’s right.

A curse of every thinking person's life, I guess... Congrats for putting it so right and good!
