Venus & the Moonlight

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Oh the day is dawnin’

Another low tide on the rise.

On the rise on the rise on the rise!

Oh blue early morning

The moonlight shinin’ her eyes.

In her eyes, in her eyes, in her eyes!

Oh, there’s no warning

She will take you by surprise.

By surprise, by surprise, by surprise!

Oh, it’s the longin’

That will set your spirit right.

Set it right, set it right, set it right!

Oh, she hears Venus callin’

Shinin’ silver in the light.

In the light, in the light, in the light!

Oh, her river is flowin’

She says, “I am going to take that trip in time.

In time, in time, in time!

Welcome to Hennen's Observer! This poem could easily be converted to a song because of its rhythmic structure. Well done.

Indeed I can just imagine it singing away inside your head. I am glad you shared it.

Before I even read the comments I took out my harmonica and started playing and singing it like a blues song... Awesome lyrics! Your sung version sounds good too, I think it'd be cool if you added a bass line.
