Sleeping With Guilt

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Dont let the bed bugs bite

because they will.

They're vicious little fucks.

They'll tear your sheets

from under you

to the sound of that click.

don't sleep with that thought.

That growing bullet

will slaughter those sheep.

Kill those bed bugs

while you still can.

They'll be an army

of monstrous bastards

by the morning.

I love the violence in this poem. One thing I"m curious about is, what's the sound of the click?

P.S. My bed is filled with bed bugs, it's terrible.

Haha. Thanks, i thought it emphasised the point. The click is the light going out.

Ah I get it now. I hate that moment when the light goes out and I just know the little bastards are waiting for me. I know this has multiple meanings and is not just about actual bed bugs, but being a person who has to deal with them every night, this poem is a perfect description! It's also a cool analogy for guilt or regret or whatever it is that keeps you up at night.
