Fame, it's a shame

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

The following words are true

Never for me! Maybe for you

.

.

Fame admit it – it stirs inside your brain

You’re hoping to embroider it to your lasting name

.

Fame, mix a half shaker of lunacy with a little inane

Stir in self absorbed love and shake it till insane

.

Fame, I bet you think it’ll make you happy

I bet you think it’ll make you crazy rich

.

I bet you think if you had em’ both

You’d be a golden stud or a diamond studded bitch

.

Fame, I would only wish it on an enemy

For it’s a sin to wish it on a friend

.

Fame, cauterizes those closest to your heart

Everyone pulling little pieces of you apart

.

Fame, is just a game that takes the place of life

Trained movie stars hiding behind doors remembering before

.

At least with poor you have hope for more

Dreaming of more money and that game called fame

.

Fame, are you sure?

.

KNOCK, KNOCK…shush…don’t answer it!

Thank You my friend. I've enjoyed your last two pieces very much quid quid. I hope to see more soon as I'm beginning to understand each piece and wonder what will be next.
