The gathering of words were spread out like wings

Amongst the common who feathered friends

.

Found her word sown to walls

Friend to all as well as friend to foe

.

A weighty soul of coal becomes heavy on itself

Woe cannot stand alone as fear climbs without help

.

Within such harm to one’s weakened and sticky lips

Her live words will not die within her dying grip

.

But rise amongst these librarian shelves

To await the return of hungry elves

.

Elves setting fire

To her worldly desires

.

Whilst gathering

Of her old words

.

As poor scholars’

Holler in debate

.

Fire sets upon her desires

Love and hate

.

Alone in life

But not in death

.

 Her words taught us best

To fly high in her bird sky

.

“In tribute to the beautiful Emily Dickerson”

Well done, have you been reading a lot of her lately? There was a middle-earthian thing going there for a bit with the elves. btw congrats on your piece in the newsletter. Well deserved.

Thank you Alberto, yes I was reading about her life and couldn't disconnect the fingers from the mind. Also thank you for the congrats. I feel blessed to have any work in Hennen's, as you know we have some real jewels here waiting to be buffed...
