Pacify My Soul

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

God please pacify my soul.

As you sit on your heavenly throne.

And throw unto me fields of gold.

God your hands are willowy and old

Like those of my dear mother

And her mother before.

Heaven is a place I know

Or at least know of.

In her eyes of many colours.

Heaven is the road

I have for years lived on,

And the cold, is only the wind

Blowing outside our door.

Pacify my soul.

With your cool, sweet waters

Raging rivers that flow.

Tribute to a mother... Or better yet, the feminine side of the family... Beautiful, honourable... Respect!

Really nice, really beautiful, even to an unbeliever like me. Reads like a prayer.
