Adapted from the journal of E. C. C.

The freesia needs water.
The soil is dry to the touch.
I’m needing “water” too.
I miss having a home
where I can move outdoors.

I like being close to the earth
watching life emerge from it.
I can hear the birds chirping
from my apartment window.
They seem so full of energy.

The early morning silence is nourishing,

Where do I go from here?
Not in the flow.
Roadblocks abound.

It’s O.K. to feel the way you’re feeling.
Accept the moment as it is.
Notice the “bloom” of the moment.
This is O.K. This IS.

Work through this.
Let it flow with no attachment
to the outcome.
Experience, not intellect.

The freesia needs water.
The soil is dry to the touch.

Such a beautiful beginning and ending line...I imagine the freesia representing so much more...and the "soil" as the soul... "dry to the touch", yet it needs so little to feel alive again. "R"
