Blood

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Blood
And I feel it flow
Beneath my skin
The gushing momentum
Driving sin
Breathing skin

His mercy I sometimes feel
Expiration and blood
His deal
My fate sealed
The Devil wears the colour so real

And I feel its flow
Deep within
Tearing at walls
Breathing skin
Fighting the box it is in

Alive and well
On a blood trail straight to hell
Angels will fail
To lift the ail
Of my wound, and blood tattoos

I am ending
Guilty of sin
I am weak
No life to live, no words to speak
But my blood still flows deep

Many flowers bloom
Yet I sit in a windowless room
With only paintings of you
My fear
And memories so few

And my heart
What a sight
As it burns in the wax
In flames of light
But the blood flows on
In flames

And the angels still wait
I command, subconsciously
“Empty me”
Rinse the pails of blood
The parasites will surely come
As I sleep
To feed, as I sleep

Water shed down the slopes
And cracks of my face
No one will save these tears
Falling in their number
Free as the blood inside of me

The angels will wait
For me, for you
Until empty lay the pails of blood

I think is the one you spoke of with your comment on 'I am the Dead.'
I like this, I like the fact it says so much without saying what is expected, and I really like the term 'blood tattoos'.
A nice piece of work.

Well, actually that was about "The Forgotten" not this one, but I see the similarities there with both our writings...I'm glad you liked this one, I always found it digressing too much in parts, but I remember the state of mind I was in when...
