Red Light Blinking

Light keeps coming in uninterrupted

by obnoxious droplets that keep leaking from the sinks

indivisable blinking at the same rate

visible invisible visible invisible

visible visual language.

Red is letting it all in

underneath blood upholstered skin

salty tears and

the half way point between

where I am burning up the seats.

Underneath blood upholstered skin...Salty tears. This poem is dressed up in a beautiful robe, but written for us senitive types. Bravo, great take.

It creates a sense of epileptic foreboding in me. I don't believe this was meant to be innocuous. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The red part (middle of poem) to the end is about being
transported back and forth between my mom and dads as a kid. I was letting in some ideas about my grandparents car, me in the
back seat, the sun being too bright, the red cloth upholstery. I couldn't find peace there. Even when I closed my eyes. I was uncomfortable because the sun was so bright. All I saw was bright red. That was compounded with emotional strife. These were usually Sundays. I would have to go to school the next day. I hated those days. I was nauseated and sad. Car sick, Heartsick. The first part is about general boredom I think although I didn't think a lot about the first part when writing it. I just let myself feel free to try what I still think is a really trite style of rhythm usage throughout. I think it came out good. It's crass, but I am in love with the phrase "obnoxious droplets." Thanks for the feedback. I never want to be non-innocuous. I do however want to release the deep black reality of many of my experiences of life in a safe place.

Vango,
I am very sensitive. I am working on the compassion part.
