Seven Years

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Held hostage by the memories for seven years
Stained with the blood of time
You left me with a glass heart
Each passing thought gives another crack
If I think any more it will shatter

Frightening uncertainty of seeing you again
The agony of knowing I can if I tried
knowing just as much that I've lost the way
I know you will forget me
I know you will be happy

You deserve an eternity of bliss
I only wish I would be there to see it
see your smile see your family
I try to find ways to escape you
You will never know the hole you put in me

I love you more than you ever knew
I hate you more than you will ever know
And now I'm left with nothing

oh, yes. I understand the place from where sentiments like yours come from. Very clearly written ... I like it. Have you ever read the book "Of Human Bondage"?

Thanks, I appreciate it. I have not read that one, I'll pick it up though and read it. The title sounds intriguing.
