Days of Misery

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

A Brilliant fireball of yellow and orange

Blazes across the horizon.

Welcome to another day of misery

Another hour of disappointment.

The world knows all failures

Failing to recognize success.

The heat beats down

Melting everything unworthy.

Every life every species disintegrates.

Lava flows from this place called home

A mistaken error in the realization of life.

A war desecrates bodies,

Engulfed in flames, the battle elevates.

The end of innocence,

Only to begin another world of pain.

The eyes of sin beat down upon the earth,

Torching all souls,

Setting grief in every heart.

This familiar feeling of everyone watching,

As life is put on stage for all to see.

Welcome to another day of misery,

Another hour of disappointment

I especially like the line "lava flows from this place called home" makes me think of how many times has my own home felt like a volcano waiting to explode....
