I tried

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Our eyes are fire are alive with emotion

Like chains they hold all we'd ever need to say-

But lips make no connection to these words-

If I'm anything to this world I'm Lost.

Satin memories caress my empty dreams-

Wrapping scarlet ribbons around my eyes-

A bodice of furious passion squeezes, suffocates my bosom,

Sure that the only eternal is the ending demise-

Lies are anchors, are immense weights,

Spinning wildly like webs around my tired eyes,

Speak soft words, happy lies, to my betrayed heart-

The last living words from these lips, "I Tried".

...and you can't blame a girl for tryin' right? After hearing the poem I enjoyed reading it more. I wonder why that is?

probably because I suck at reading my own poems and you couldnt understand a word I was saying. Therefore to clarify the train wreck you just heard you went and read it.
