Prayer for an Errant Child

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Don't be the cloud.

Be the wind

that pushes the clouds aside.

Don't be the creek

or the river

following the path

of least resistance.

Be the ocean

that takes it all in.

Be neither valley

nor mountain

but the highland

that lies between.

Be the moon

and the stars

and shine.

Pretty! Simple but with a clear message, puts me in mind of a few lines in "desiderata" "you are as much as the trees and the stars..." Nice Thank you

Thanks. I always thought this was a little soft but glad you liked it.

It is soft, but it has a heavy message which in a way, is better than if you hammered it out too much.

Thanks. Apt postscript: don't be the hammer either. I'll remember that.
