Innocent Shadow

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Please ten more minutes before this dream wakes me up.
Sugar energy and give motivation an egotistical talent fuck.
I guess the world melted into who we are.
Sorry I left you hanging on that star.

You labeled the moon a window to my eyes.
I gave you the ocean and you sold the tides.
Sorry I never got your 'true love'.
Guess I bought the devil a dove.

Late as it is, you're snowed into my mind.
Irony helps morning restart the time.
I miss all those padded metaphors.
You killed passion in marriages door.

But hey, I'm OK.

Nikki labeled a year, while Jenny melted Christine into a 'fuck'.
Brad snowed in fear, while Matt drank opportunity out of luck.
The morning still seems lost in innocence shadow.
Last night prays there is a Dawn tomorrow.

But hey, I'm OK.

Your rapid switching of metaphors in this piece is very well done. I really got your true feelings out of this poem.

But yeah, I really liked where this one started and ended, convincing myself it seems, that despite it all, i'm ok.
