New age day

picked like a flower petal from the face of humanity

subtle paranoia flowing through our water

vast disgust for the putrid

enamored by the thought of progression

I pray that all is what it seems

mascarades shelter us from the truth

leaving only crumbs from beneath

parallel to the dimension of thought

the machine rumbles.

Very vivid word pictures.... I have shared this poem with others and everyone seems to come up with a different interpretation. It's like a slate onto which anyone can project. Very good!

Brief but cascading with imagery. Very well done.
